Plantain leaves are an essential ingredient in Venezuelan and Latin American cooking. Used to wrap hallacas, bollos pelones and tamales, they add a mild, smoky flavour that infuses the filling as it cooks. Cleaned, cut and ready to use straight from the freezer.

How to use them
- For hallacas: Thaw the leaves, wipe with a damp cloth, pass over a direct flame to make them more flexible, then assemble the hallacas.
- For tamales and bollos: Cut to the size you want and briefly blanch in hot water for extra flexibility before wrapping.
- As a base in the oven: Use as a bed for cooking meat or fish, adding aroma and moisture during cooking.
Tip: Pass the leaves over the flame of the hob for 2-3 seconds on each side so they become pliable and don't tear when folded.

- Madrid: our own home delivery (about 30 km around the shop) or collection in store.
- Mainland Spain, Portugal and France: orders go out Monday to Thursday; as a rule, anything ordered before 15:00 goes out the same day.
Delivery is calculated at checkout, based on weight and your area. This product is not shipped outside mainland Spain, Portugal and France.
Storage: frozen product. Keep at -18 °C. Once thawed, do not refreeze.
